Your 4 day detailed tour itinerary.

DAY 1 – CHIANG MAI TO MAE SARIANG, 270 KILOMETERS – 8 HOURS.

After our daily morning briefing, we head out from Chiang Mai to Doi Inthanon National Park where we have our first stop for refreshments at the spectacular Wachirathan Waterfall.

Our ride then takes us along the mountain road to the tallest peak in Thailand – Doi Inthanon. This is also known as the roof of Siam some 2565 meters high and nestled at the foot of the Himalayas.

We leave the highest peak Doi Inthanon and ride a small steep and twisty road to our lunch stop. After lunch we ride through farmland and great twisty mountain roads to our afternoon stop in a pine forest.

Finally, we then head to our overnight stop in Mae Sariang where we will have a great evening meal and a chance to reflect on the days ride.

DAY 2 – MAE SARIANG TO MAE HONG SON, 225 KILOMETERS – 7 HOURS.

This is a great riding day with truly one of the best curve after curve ride you will ever experience. We also traverse some smaller mountain roads with breath taking views.

Lunch is at Khum Yuam before we visit a WW2 museum telling the importance of this small town during the WW2. Leaving Khum Yuam the road takes us through many twists and turns to the view point Pha Bong which overlooks a spectacular Gorge. From here we ride to our overnight stop in the beautiful Shan town of Mae Hong Son. This gem, with much history, is nestled in a valley surrounded by mountains.

There is a spectacular view point that overlooks this picturesque town where we can watch the sun go down over the Himalayan chain of mountains with Myanmar/Burma in the distance. In the evening at a local restaurant you have the chance to try some tasty Shan food while talking about the day’s experiences.

DAY 3 – MAE HONG SON TO PAI, 220 KILOMETERS – 8 HOURS

Today is full of unforgettable sight-seeing and experiences and spectacular riding.
After breakfast we ride to the Pai River where we hop on a small boat and travel up this jungle river to visit the long neck Karen tribe. This excursion looks like it’s out of a National Geographic Magazine and a trip you will never forget.

After this visit and the return boat trip we ride high up into the mountains to an historical Chinese village on the Myanmar/Burmese border. There we stop for lunch before riding high mountain passes with magnificent viewpoints to our overnight stay in the township of Pai, a vibrant Hippy location nestled in the hills.

We dine at a lovely restaurant in Pai with many food choices and talk about today’s incredible ride.

DAY 4 – PAI TO CHIANG MAI, 250 KILOMETERS – 7 HOURS.

Following breakfast, our first stop is a historic WW2 bridge over the Pai River. We then ride high mountain roads, taking a refreshment stop along the way.

We continue along a beautiful small country road where we eventually make our way back down to the elephant and rafting camps where we stop for lunch. Finally, we take the last part of our journey back to Chiang Mai.
